Using natural sweeteners such as honey is much healthier than using artificial sweeteners.

    Pro Tip:

You can use this recipe for hot or iced tea. It's perfect for the winter season's cold and the summer season's heat.

What Is The Best Type Of Green Tea To Use?

    gunpowder green tea

Many green tea types are available. The best green tea to use depends on personal preference and availability.

Any green tea can be used when making Lemon Ginger Green Tea with Mint and Honey over Ice. However, I always recommend using high-quality green tea for the best flavor and health benefits. Sencha or Dragonwell are good options in this recipe as they have a pleasant taste and aroma that pairs well with the other ingredients.

Some popular kinds of green tea include:

    1. Sencha: This is the most commonly consumed green tea in Japan. It has a grassy flavor and a refreshing aroma.
    2. Dragonwell (Longjing): This famous Chinese green tea has a nutty and slightly sweet flavor.
    3. Gyokuro: This is a high-quality Japanese green tea grown in the shade. It has a sweet and mellow flavor and a rich aroma.
    4. Gunpowder: Gunpowder is a classic green tea from Zhejiang province, China. Gunpowder tea is made up of leaves hand-rolled into tiny pellets

    Lemon With Green Tea Benefits

Lemon ginger tea has been consumed for thousands of years in Asia and is known for its many health benefits.

    • Green tea is rich in antioxidants called catechins, which have been shown to have anti-inflammatory and cancer-fighting properties.
    • Ginger has also been used for medicinal purposes for centuries. Its benefits are numerous. Ginger is known for its anti-inflammatory properties and can help relieve upset stomachs with nausea and pain.
    • Lemon is high in vitamin C, boosting the immune system and promoting healthy skin.
    • Mint is known for its cooling and soothing properties, which can help alleviate headaches and improve digestion.
    • Honey is a natural sweetener and has been used for its antibacterial properties. It can also soothe a sore throat and cough.

Combining these ingredients into a refreshing and hydrating drink can provide numerous health benefits, making it the perfect summer beverage.

    How Long Will This Keep?

This Lemon Ginger Green Tea with Mint and Honey over Ice can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. After that, the flavor and freshness may start to deteriorate. Keeping the tea in an airtight container prevents it from absorbing other tastes or odors from the refrigerator.

Before serving, stir the tea well to ensure that the honey and lemon juice are evenly distributed. Ice cubes will melt and dilute the tea over time, so it may be necessary to add more ice cubes when serving after a day or two.

Ginger green tea with lemonย is refreshing, delicious, and healthy.
