Hot toddy tea is a simple natural remedy for warming up and easing cold symptoms.



  • 1 cup water
  • 1 1/2 ounce brandy
  • 1 teaspoon black tea
  • 5 cloves
  • 1/8 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1-2 teaspoon honey
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 1/4 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 1-2 orange slices


  1. Bring one cup of water to boil.
  2. Add tea, cloves, nutmeg, cinnamon stick and honey.
  3. Reduce heat and simmer for 5 minutes.
  4. Add whiskey to a teacup.

  5. Strain boiled ingredients and pour into the teacup.

  6. Add lemon juice.

  7. Garnish with lemon slice and cinnamon stick.

  8. Stir and enjoy!
